Simple question I was checking all the guides and this is all new territory for me.

I was able to get the RTS Player and scripts working on the pc (Windows 10) But how do I connect the launch to the player on the PC?

Thanks!

Which player are you using? I use ScriptPlayer...start the launch, wait for blinking blue light, then in SciriptPlayer - click "Devices" then "Connect Launch Directly"

Are you running Windows 10 10.0.15063 Build 15063 or higher? If not that might be the issue.
There are also two types of Blue tooth adapters that work with the launch when connecting to pc:
CSR + Broadcom, its required that any dongle you have doesn't have the drivers they may come with as it stops the launch from getting detected by the script player.

I had an issue where i bought the correct dongle and installed the disk that came with it but this in turn stopped the script player from seeing the device when windows still could.
I just uninstalled the drivers and it worked.

Ah thank you that did it! Had to uninstall the drivers that came with it. Cheers!

Another source for failures (at least for me it was) is if you get the idea to pair the Launch in Windows and then use Scriptplayer to "directly connect Launch". This doesn't work (didn't for me at least). So don't pair your Launch!

I'm also having a problem connecting the launch directly to scriptplayer. Ive only got it to connect a couple of times by reinstalling my blue tooth devices multiple times but this doesn't always work. I'm running windows 10 build 15063 and launch isn't directly paired to windows.
This is the dongle i'm using: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009ZIILLI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
i'm wondering if im just missing something or if there is something wrong with this dongle in particular?

The only BT chipset we know to cause issues is one from Insignia (https://github.com/FredTungsten/ScriptP ... e-chipsets). Unfortunately the Amazon page doesn't list the chipset of this dongle - maybe the device manager has more details.

A couple of things you could try: Try to connect it via Buttplug (if that works, it's an issue with ScriptPlayer), change the order in which you connect (Click "Connect to Launch directly" and then turn on the Launch) and make sure you have the latest version (1.0.2).

Changing the order to what you suggested makes a big difference. thanks for the heads up! I still have to restart my laptop every time I want to connect but its a huge improvement over the way it was. I also tried connecting via buttplug but I still need to restart every time i want to get it to work.

This is the error buttplug gives me when im having trouble connecting:
2017-10-27 19:35:42.5802|DEBUG|UWPBluetoothManager|Found BLE factory: UWPBluetoothDeviceFactory
2017-10-27 19:35:43.2521|ERROR|UWPBluetoothManager|Cannot connect to device Launch 238045239614064: The device is not ready for use. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800710DF)

this is what the says when its able to connect:
2017-10-27 19:40:33.8344|DEBUG|UWPBluetoothDeviceFactory|Found service UUID: 00001800-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb (Launch)
2017-10-27 19:40:33.8344|DEBUG|UWPBluetoothDeviceFactory|Found service UUID: 00001801-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb (Launch)
2017-10-27 19:40:33.8344|DEBUG|UWPBluetoothDeviceFactory|Found service UUID: 88f80580-0000-01e6-aace-0002a5d5c51b (Launch)
2017-10-27 19:40:35.0382|INFO|DeviceManager|Adding Device Fleshlight Launch at index 1

I checked out the device manager like you said and it shows my dongle as "Broadcom BCM20702 Bluetooth 4.0 USB Device"

Huh. Wow. Thanks for posting the logs! Never seen that error before.

Not sure what you meant by "reinstalling devices", so... Instead of completely rebooting, have you tried either turning the bluetooth radio off and back on in the bluetooth settings, or taking the bluetooth dongle out and putting it back in when things don't work? I have to do this on linux a lot, but I'm using the same adapter as you on windows and have never had that problem.

Sorry for the poorly worded post. I meant i would pull the dongle out, uninstall all bluetooth drivers, then pop it back in. Turning bluetooth off and back on again also doesnt seem to make a difference.
